"Metamorfosi" ("Metamorphosis") is a sculpture by Pericle Fazzini. Since 1984 it has stood in a square named after the sculptor, in the centre of Grottammare. It is a study for an ambitious sculpture whose design was conceived in the 1960s but could not be concretely realised, a monument to John Fitzgerald Kennedy over 30 metres high. The new name was chosen by the artist, who donated the work to the city where he was born.
